In order to be able to log into RAP, you will require a username and password to be assigned by the system administrator(s). This login will also be assigned a security profile which alters the system facilities available to you. You should discuss your needs with the administrators who will provide the most appropriate profile.
-
Start your chosen internet browser. We aim to keep RAP compatible with current versions of most browsers
-
Enter the unique URL given for your system into you browser's address bar
. You should then see the login page.
-
Enter your username and password.
-
Click the Login button
. The system will check the username and password entered and will return an error if your credentials are not found. - If you enter an incorrect password more than 5 times, the system will send an email to the registered email address for the account advising of multiple attempts to login. This is a security mechanism to protect against unauthorised access attempts.
-
If this is the first time you have logged in you will next see a statement of usage. Read the statement and click the Accept button
. -
If this is the first time you have logged in or if your password has expired or has been changed you will then need to change your password. Enter your new password in both New Password and Confirm Password and click the Submit button
. - The minimum length and complexity of the password is set by your administrator. Check with your administrator if you are unsure of the minimum password requirements.
Notes
-
Many companies choose to add a link to RAP from their intranet site. This insulates users from having to know the address and simplifies administration should the address need to change.
-
The system will refuse to log you in if your account has been disabled by an administrator.
-
The login screen will remain visible until a successful login is performed.
-
If you reject the usage statement you will be taken back to the login page.
-
You may review the usage statement at any time after completing the login process by clicking Usage Statement usually found beneath the side menu on the left.
-
Whenever you log in you may be asked to changed your password. This may be because the administrator has set your initial password and the system requires you to change it on first log in or because an administrator has reset a forgotten password.
-
You should be aware that your session will expire after approximately 20 minutes of inactivity after which you will need to repeat the login process.
- When changing your password, you cannot reuse one of your last three passwords used on the RAP system.
